Troubleshooting for well pumps
Problem: Well pump has pressure loss
- Rotor and stator are worn
Replacing the rotor and stator on the Screw-Star models PDF instructions VIDEO - An externally installed non-return valve clamps
Check the non-return valve for dirt and function - Air enters through a leak
Check all connections and the suction hose for leaks
Problem: Well pump triggers the circuit breaker
- Pump blocked
Check the non-return valve for dirt and function - The switch box is defective
For models with a switch box, check the inside of the switch box for ingress of moisture and traces of smoke or signs of a short circuit. If necessary, replace the switch box.
IMPORTANT: Info and tips
- For the right function with an INVERTER pump controller A pressure expansion vessel/pressure tank with a minimum volume of 2L MUST be installed in the pressure line in the immediate vicinity of the control unit. You can order a high-quality pressure tank (2 or 8L) from our range of accessories for a small surcharge.
- With the Use of an inverter pump controller Please note that the maximum starting current is determined by the design of your pump. It is limited in the inverter to protect the devices. The max. starting current of the pump must be less than the maximum permissible inverter current. This means that we cannot guarantee the function of any inverter/pump combination.
