Basic information on transport damage
Dear customer,
Your ordered goods are covered by the carrier's or shipper's transport insurance during transportation. However, it is important to observe the following rules to ensure that your and our claims do not lapse in the event of damage.
We recommend that you check the goods for damage and completeness immediately upon acceptance of the shipment, as concealed damage is rarely covered by insurance. Have the damage confirmed by the driver (name, vehicle number)
Condition of the delivery
In the event of recognizable damage to the packaging
- Make a visible note on all copies of the shipping document of the type and extent of the damage as well as any shortages.
- Please be sure to document any damage to the packaging with photos or a short video
- "Open damage" must be reported to the carrier / service provider immediately, at the latest within 24 hours. Open damage is understood to mean when the packaging is obviously damaged from the outside.
If parts are missing or damaged when unpacking the goods, please ask the shipping company to confirm this immediately. (within a maximum of 5 working days).
Intact packaging, but the goods were damaged or incomplete when unpacked
"Hidden damage" must be reported to the carrier / service provider within 7 days of the day of delivery. Concealed damage means that the packaging is not damaged on the outside, but the contents are damaged.
