The PRESFLO-2® - 1.5 bar switch-on pressure flow monitor automates and controls the switching on of the centrifugal or submersible pump. It monitors the pressure in the pipe system from the pump to the consumer. When water is drawn from the pipe system, the pressure decreases. If the pressure falls below the set operating pressure, the flow monitor switches on the connected device (e.g. centrifugal pump). This supplies the consumer with water again. If the consumer is closed, the flow rate is reduced and the pump is switched off. If there is no water after the pump is switched on, the flow monitor automatically switches the pump off again (dry-running protection).

The device software monitors the switch-on intervals. If the "switch-on" and "switch-off" processes are too frequent at regular intervals, the pump is switched off after a set time for a certain pause time. After the pause time has elapsed, the pump is switched on and the switching processes are monitored and evaluated. For many pump applications it is important that if a fault occurs in the pump (for whatever reason, e.g. due to dirt ingress, which is sometimes unavoidable), the pump does not cycle but switches off safely BEFOREhand. This is exactly what the PRESFLO-2® control unit does! All other inexpensive switching devices do NOT have this protective function!

A non-return valve is integrated in the flow monitor. This prevents the pipe system from draining back through the pump. Therefore, no additional non-return valve may be installed between the pump and the flow monitor. This can lead to faults and even damage to the pump. PRESFLO-2® - 1.5bar switch-on pressure pump controls may only be used with pumps with single-phase motors.

All the electronics are sealed watertight, which means significantly improved protection against condensation.

Our tips:

When using any pump switchgear, we strongly recommend always using an effective pre-filter/cartridge filter upstream of the switchgear. This can significantly reduce problems caused by water contamination. (All commercially available professional switching devices have a non-return valve on the inlet side. If a grain of dirt settles between the sealing surfaces, the switchgear will no longer function properly. The pump cycles, i.e. it switches "on" and "off" again immediately. The pump gets hot and breaks down after a short time due to overheating. This can be prevented by using a pre-filter/cartridge filter).

The PRESFLO®'s intelligent self-monitoring system registers the pump cycle and interrupts pump operation to prevent damage. This reliably prevents damage caused by burst water pipes and overflowing cellars!
