In certain installation situations, the pump control may not function correctly, causing the pump to constantly switch on and off. As a result, there is practically no water transportation through the pump, which means that the pump is not cooled. As a result, the pump heats up and the motor winding burns out. An additionally installed expansion vessel stabilizes the pressure in the water pipes. This ensures that the pump control functions properly. - Neither the pump nor the pump control unit can be damaged.

Typically, the drinking and service water (e.g. from cisterns) arriving in the house has a temperature of approx. 5-10°C. In the cellar, the water can heat up to 30°C. This can cause the line pressure to rise to approx. 10-15 bar. Many components, such as water pre-filters or the water pipes themselves, cannot withstand this pressure and burst as a result. This 2 liter pressure tank absorbs the water expansion so that pressure increases in the pipes and damage are reliably prevented.

The pressure tank buffers the pressure fluctuations. Pressure surges are avoided. The 2 liter pressure tank protects the pump as well as components and water pipes.
The 2 liter expansion tank also contributes to cooling the pump and helps to protect the pump. The pressure tank therefore significantly extends the service life of submersible pumps, centrifugal pumps, well pumps or domestic waterworks.
